Piemdont Cigarette Porcelain Advertising Wooden Folding Chair

Nice original "Piedmont - The Virginia Cigarette" advertising folding chair. Chair features a double sided porcelain plate in the chair back used to prominently display Piedmont products. Chair measures 31" (H) X 16" (W) X 15 1/2" (D) while unfolded in the chair position. Nice tobacco advertising item. Condition is good overall. The main issue is on the left hand side of the chair back is a large sliver of wood that has broken off (approximately 6") It's definitely old damage and doesn't affect the structure of the chair. Like I said - it's a sliver that just shaved off, if anything it adds to the authenticity of the chair. The finish of the chair is very good overall with white paint specks here and there and the original finish. Per...

3 Piece 1900's Corbin Cabinet Lock Company Oak Post Office

For sale is a 3 piece USPS Post Office money order window, letter window with metal bars and mailboxes, all manufactured by the Corbin Cabinet Lock Company, New Britain Conn. Best guess is that these are from the early 1900's, closer to the turn of the century. This was the actual post office from a very small northwestern Illinois town. All three pieces are in oak - and never have been refinished - all in original condition. The first window, a "money order" window with etched glass that lifts and latches in the back to open and close. Also has a money order plaque affixed to the top of the window. This piece measures 47 inches height, 24 inches width, and 17 inches in depth. The second window - the larger one - has the bars on the window with mail slot below the counte...

Early Ornate Folding Cast Iron Bench with Cushions

Early cast iron folding bench with original cushions. Outside legs have castors. Very early piece with elegant Victorian styling. Measurements are 58" (W) X 29" (H) X 29" (D). Condition is good overall. The cast iron is a brownish rust color that appears to be original and is in good shape. One the frames on the castor wheels has cracked but is still intact. Should be an easy weld to fix. The middle legs each are missing castors (I'm not sure if they were supposed to have them, however it appears that they did). My suggestion would be to replace all of the castors with newer locking castors as these don't roll real well and function poorly. However they are original. Otherwise, the frame appears to be in good shape without repairs or extensive damage. ...

Wonderful early wall-style country store seed cabinet manufactured by the Walker Patented Pivoted Bin Company, Philadelphia, PA. Small Size Sherer General Store Seed Cabinet

Wonderful solid oak cut-down and reconstructed general store seed counter manufactured (in part) by the Sherer Gillett Company of Chicago Illinois. Cabinet measures 34" (H) X 32 1/2" (W) X 30" (D). Cabinet is in very good condition overall. This cabinet appears to be partially rebuilt, and likely cut down from a much larger sized grain cabinet. The sides appear to be replaced, and some of the inside drawers appear to have new wood. However, the front glass and appear to be original as well as the drawers on back, which retain the original finish and hardware. The sides, top and front were have been stained with a walnut color finish. The construction was done very well by a previous owner, matching the sides very well. Few scuffs and scratches, and a small sliver o...

Primitive 92" Hardware Bin Counter

This is a very unique and primitive hardware bin counter that was used and acquired from an old lumber yard in southern Illinois. This is a very solid piece that was used as a counter and various nails, screws and other hardware would be placed in the metal bins, which in many cases were sold by the pound. This wonderful primitive piece measures 91 1/2" (W) X 33" (H) X 19 1/2" (D). The cabinet is very heavy and one piece. Condition is original and I have left as I acquired it. This is a very primitive piece that was used until the day I got it at the lumber yard. There are many scuffs and rough marks and the top is very used and marred from the years of service and sales. There's some separation of the slabs on top and varnish and paint staining throughout. Th...
